The Noise cancellation was great too, I don't think I was blown away as much as many reviewers on youtube have expressed but these headphones did a great job of reducing a lot of ambient noise. Just don't expect them to block out people's voices.

Noise Cancellation is not what I expected

I noticed the noise cancelling aren’t quiet as good as my wife’s XM2’s maybe because they fit tighter, but I can hear a normal conversation easily while in noise cancelling mode, and after doing the setup.

Surprisingly, none of the advertised capabilities of these headphones came close to meeting my expectations.

First, the noise cancelling doesn’t do much for loud or high frequency sounds. It just makes sounds and voices slightly muffled, even with the noise cancelling turned up to max.

For actual noise cancelling, I have to use a playlist of high frequency white noise that I play on a loop. I also listen to music, but sometimes I find that more distracting when I’m working. Music is also more likely to let in breakthrough noise, depending on what you’re listening to (this is a problem for those with misophonia, who can’t tune out sounds they find irritating).

Noise cancellation is fairly solid, although it certainly isn't as good as just putting in some in ear headphones with high quality foam tips.

The noise canceling feature on much cheaper headphones work almost as well.

Noise cancellation: Great. Works awesome at work, on flights, and at home to ignore neighborhood kids shouting outside. Blocks out darn near everything if I play music mid-volume.

I bought these specifically for their advertised noise cancelling ability to use while working or trying to sleep on a plane. I was hoping that I would put them on, turn on noise cancelling, and be able to tune out the construction noises that I hear from my home office and people talking or babies crying on the plane.

Unfortunately, these have been a huge disappointment for what I wanted to use them for: to use noise cancelling feature without listening to music.

If you are looking for headphones with excellent sound quality to listen to music, these will make you happy for that purpose. They are also very comfortable to wear. For my purposes though, I can still hear all of the construction sounds and people talking around me with the noise cancelling feature turned up as high as it goes. These do not offer the quiet I need to work.

The noise cancelling is worthless for reducing sound of nearby voices

I have a cheap $60 pair of bluetooth NC headphones that I have loved for mowing the lawn, but they don't do anything to cancel the sound of nearby voices. Now that I'm working from home I'm finding other folks talking in the house a major distraction, so I decided to pay the much higher price for these. They were toted as the best noise cancelling out there, but I notice no difference at all in their ability to suppress voices. Just like the cheap pair I was previously using, they end up silencing all random background sound so that voices are actually much more prominent. And yes, I did run their NC optimizer process and have NC enabled.

I'm very happy with the sound quality, and the swipe controls. They are also very comfortable. However, I'll be returning them since they don't help me at all with my primary goal. I'll be trying the competitor model from Bose, but I'm not optimistic that they will be any better.

Don't assume you'll get silence

I got these headphones for airplanes, and because they definitely improve the plane noise I decided to keep them - my first pair of headphones. I bought these - relatively expensive - having heard all the raves about the "noise-cancelling." Perhaps I was naive, but I expected that I wouldn't be able to hear conversations around me, flight announcements, etc. I can hear all that, plus some engine noise, but certainly it's much more pleasant than without them. Also, easier by far to hear movies than with simple earbuds.
You might be able to get something acceptable for a lot less money.

Noise cancelling is subpar

At first glance seemed really nice. Nice case, felt comfortable. Turned them on and I could still here everything. Put the tv on and it barely filtered it out. Next tried to put on music low volume. Still the TV was a big distraction.

Pretty Disappointed

I don’t understand why these headphones are so hyped up. I’ve had earbuds that sound almost as good. The noise cancelling was pretty weak and I could still hear most things around me at work. Sound quality was okay but muddy sounding. They were also uncomfortable and gave me a headache after a few hours of wearing them.

What was that? Noise cancelling was non-existent

Ok so I bought these specifically for noise cancellation as I have really sensitive ears and Thursdays at work enrages me. So I was really looking forward to having these. But of course it didn't work well, why would it, it was only $350!!! The first issue i noticed was the terrible noise cancellation. I could still hear conversations from several cubicles over. This basically did nothing to cancel them. And the sound level of the cancelling noise or whatever it was doing was barely audible. And yes, i fiddled with all the controls as suggested, and it still didn't work right.
